Since the summer of 2016 TopSpeed has been offering a Youth Athlete Development Class for athletes ages 7-12.
According to work by Dr. Avery Faigenbaum and echoed by Hall of Fame strength coach Al Vermeil, waiting until high school age to begin strength training may be too late and lessen an athlete’s ability to ever reach their full potential.
This program is run out of our TopSpeed-DBat location which offers both long-tern enrollment options as well as daily drop-in option. The class focuses on fundamental movement training which lays the groundwork for higher levels of speed and agility to be expressed on the field/court/diamond/etc.
Class size is limited, workouts will last approximately 45-55 minutes and are open to youth-athletes that show
adequate emotional maturity and ability to follow directions.
This class has received fantastic feedback from the parents of the athletes who consistently attend.
Did you know TopSpeed offers a youth athlete training program led by former KU 🏀 player KC Hilgenkamp & Washburn softball player Crystal Wittlinger?
