After an All-State playing career at Gardner-Edgerton High School Coach Jaylon Radel went on to graduate from Emporia State University where he was a wide receiver for the football team and sprinter on the track & field team. As a senior he helped lead ESU to a postseason bowl win over University of Arkansas-Monticello in the Corsicana Bowl.
Once his playing days were over Radel, who majored in Human Performance and Coaching during his time at ESU, was quickly hired on as an Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach for the Hornets. He oversaw the sports performance training for softball, volleyball, men's & women's tennis, and assisted with the strength and speed training for the football team.
In addition to his time with ESU he has also worked as a strength coach at Basehor-Linwood High School and Gardner-Edgerton High School in addition to interning at TopSpeed for two summers during his collegiate career.
